Consular Services
The American Citizen Services (ACS) unit provides essential services, including passport renewals and emergency assistance to U.S. citizens. Given the volatile security situation and a high threat of kidnapping, U.S. citizens are urged to register with the STEP program and maintain a high level of vigilance.
Trade & Export Support
Commercial activities are limited due to political instability and security risks. The embassy provides basic guidance to U.S. companies but does not have a full U.S. Commercial Service section.
