Indonesia is the world's largest archipelago with over 17,000 islands spanning Southeast Asia, home to 277 million people making it the 4th most populous country. Known for diverse cultures, tropical beaches, volcanoes, rainforests, Komodo dragons, and rich biodiversity. Jakarta is the capital, but Indonesia's treasures lie across its islands. Visitors are drawn to Bali's temples and beaches, Yogyakarta's Borobudur and Prambanan temples (UNESCO), Komodo National Park and dragons, Raja Ampat diving, Gili Islands, volcanic landscapes (Mount Bromo, Ijen), Ubud rice terraces, orangutans in Borneo and Sumatra, Jakarta's culture, and island hopping. Indonesia offers tropical paradise, adventure, ancient culture, and incredible value for travelers.
